Four Georgetown residents starred for the Erin Mills Mighty Eagles under-11 girls' rep soccer team that won the recent 2006 Oakville Full-Field Championship. The Mighty Eagles team outscored the competition at the eight-team elite-level tourney 8-0 on their march to the title. In game one, Georgetown's Bronwen Catling and Courtney Chambers each scored a goal on route to an easy 4-0 Erin Mills victory. Brianna Ananthan assisted on the winning goal, as the Mighty Eagles defeated Etobicoke. 2-0, and in a close semi-final match against Ajax United, Caylee Brydie scored the lone goal on an excellent individual effort from a free kick to claim a 1-0 victory. Chambers, who won the Golden Boot Award as top scorer, potted the championship winning goal as she neatly converted a corner kick and the Mighty Eagles defeated the Lady Eagles in the final 1-0.
