One of the contests in the third-annual Norval United Church Tournament held recently at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club was a "closest-to-the-cow" competition. Tourney participant Dave Dunlop came up a little short in this attempt, but he and golf partners (from left) Shaun Dunlop, Marg Jones and Helen McCormack were pleased to find out that about $11,000 was raised for the Bill Laidlaw Memorial Fund. In its three years, the tournament has raised more than $30,000 for youth programs and development within the Georgetown community and at Norval United Church.
