Letters to the Editor...CAShh needs April canvassers

Dear editor, Spring is a time of growth and revitalization. Unfortunately, Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CAShh) has experienced huge growth and needs to provide practical services to more than 600 cancer patients and their families. Of course, it takes a whole community to make this happen. We depend on the revenue from our annual April residential campaign as our biggest source of income. We are not funded by the government, nor do we receive any grants. We are solely dependent on the generosity of a community that truly cares. This community is growing and it was necessary to restructure the campaign. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with area co-ordinators, team captains and canvassers that take on specific tasks to get the job done. What do we need? We need more people who specialize in giving! CAShh needs canvassers! Can you canvass for a few hours during the month of April? By doing so, you can make a difference one street at a time.
