Jaguars win Montreal tourney

Christ the King Secondary School's varsity boys' hockey team avenged a loss to Barrie's St. Peter's in the preliminary round of a recent high school tournament in Montreal by winning 20 in the title game. Although their run in the Halton high school league playoffs didn't last as long as they'd wished, Christ the King's varsity boys' hockey Jaguars completed their season with a victory, winning the championship at a Canadian Hockey Enterprises tournament in Montreal. The Jags, who finished second in the Halton league standings in just their first year of play but were eliminated by Iroquois Ridge in the opening round of playoffs, defeated St. Peter's of Barrie 2-0 in the championship game to take the Lefty Wilson High School Division of the Montreal tourney.
