In 1974, Halton Region was created along with the new Town of Halton Hills which brought together Esquesing Township and the Towns of Acton and Georgetown. Over the last 50 years the Town has evolved and embraced economic, social and environmental values while continuing to respect its natural heritage lands and become a community where all are welcome.
In 2024, the Town of Halton Hills recognizes 50 years since its inception and the historical significance of this milestone. This exhibit reflects on the history of the communities that came together to create the Town of Halton Hills.
