- The North Shor Citizen's Association would like an extension of the Sanitary District Canal to additional North Shore towns. The purpose is to have pure water. This would cost $750,000. The association has distributed a brochure to gain support. It was signed by members of the association: President, H. D. Miles, of Kenilworth, Secretary H. M. Gardiner, of Wilmette, and Chairman, Samuel Hallett Greeley, Chairman, Drainage Committee. Judge Tuthill ruled that the Sanitary District has a right to construct a pipeline at the expense of the Sanitary District. The association is waiting for a ruling from the State Supreme Court. A series of meetings will be held to test public interest.
