The Lighter Side of Policing at the Thessalon O.P.P. Detachment.

This article caught our eye when we were reviewing the old files.

The photo has a young officer eying not a criminal, but a rather large pussycat laying next to his desk,- a cougar to be exact.

A truck carrying two young cougars had broken down on the highway leaving the handler with nowhere to go and no way to look after the animals. While he attempted to get the truck repaired, our local constabulary offered to "cat-sit" for awhile.

I'm sure it was not what the officer was expecting when he signed on for his shift that day...
