Description
This is a black and white photo of the railroad siding that came into Thessalon running north and south parallel to the lake front. This siding appears to be in the area where Dyment Street is now located. This siding may be the line that was first brought into town for the purpose of serving the box factory and the lumber mills.

There are numerous dwellings visible and a run down factory facility near the edge of the water. The Government dock is in the upper right of the photo.
Notes
A comment received indicates the building at the top of the photo with the chimney collapsed over top of it was most likely Dave Gordon's Sawmill later the Asam Basket Factory.
