Downey, Blake William Forrest (Died)

D O W N E Y, B l a k e W i l l i a m F o r r e s t (1963-2007)- It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Blake on Saturday, March 17, 2007, in his 44th year. After a lengthy illness, he passed away with dignity and courage with his family at his side. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Merebeth Knox, his loving parents, Joan and Bill Downey of St. Catharines, his loving brother Greg (Barbara) of Oakville, and loving sister Su of France, devoted mother-in-law Betty Lou Knox of Mississauga, loving sister-in-law Susan Knox (Peter Leenaars) of Mississauga and brother-in-law John Knox (Mary McConkey) of Atlanta. Blake was a favorite uncle of Matthew, Brittany, Scott, Jamie Lee, Christina, Joanna, Robert and Molly. Always a gentleman, Blake exemplified the values of honesty, integrity, duty, loyalty and most of all love of family. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of St. Catharines General Hospital, ICU for their kindness, compassion and support. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of QEW) on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday March 22, 2007 at 3 pm. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Service will be held in St. Catharines at the St-Thomas Anglican Church 99 Ontario St., Saturday March 2 4 , 2 0 0 7 a t 11 a m ( t i m e t o b e a n nounced).
