William Limb.rt, Toronto There passed to rest at the family residence, 76 EIlerbeek Avenue, Tor-t onto, on Wednesday, November 24, Rev. William Liinbert, following a week's ilîness from pneumonia. Deceased was one of tfihe grand old men of the Methodist Church in this province and a pioneer mem- ber of the Bay of Quinte Conference,r being at one tume President and in1 active mînistry in this conference for forty years. H1e was born in England and came to Canada in 1874, entering the min-t istry of the Bible Christian Churchf the sainie yeer. H1e served in many places in the Bay of Quinte Conter- ence, ineluding Hampton, Tyrone, Orono and a numbbr of others. While pastor at Oakwood lie sawi tfhe erection of a church which ist equal te the finest in the country, andt which will staind as a monument to his zeal and enthusismn. 1He re-I tired froni active work in 1920. The funeral took place on Satur- day afterrîoon ,a private service be- ing held at the home, and a public service at Danforth United Church which was packed to tihe doors. The magnificent floral offering's froni frienda and many former charges evidenced the high eeteem in which lie was held. Rev. J. J. Coulter, Pastor of the Church had charge of the service and the tollowing took1 part in *ie service-Revs. G. H. Copeland, H. E. Moores, S. T. Bart- lett, A. M. Irwin and C. W. Watch. The pal-bearera were Revs. J. U. Robins, Bowmanville, S. T. Bartlett, W. C. Allin, W. B. Tucker, J. R. Real, Toronto, A. M. Ir'win, Whitby. Deceased is survived by his wif e and two sons, Dr. Milton Lintbert, Parry Sound; Horace of Toronto; four daughters, Mrs. F. Johnston, Calgary; Mme. Richard Brown, Or- ono; Mrs. Zetta Andrews, Toronto; Mrs. H. J. Reid of Lindsay; also one brother in England.
