The f ire brigade responcied prompt- ly, but the building was compleîely enveloped in flames when they ar- rived. Fortunateiy a hydrant was situated close by and little lime was wasted in making connections. The burning building was about ten feel f rom the main barn and the brigade was successful in keeping the flames to the sinalier building. About 150 cb.icks were desîroyed as well as the building.
