Many of our citizens will have pleasant recollections of meeting Dr. Holgate, a loveable and wholesomc man, when he visited bis brother, the late John A. Hol- gate. Mrs. Arthur Coverly received word that ber brother, A~B James Park, is somewbere in Scotland where be bas been taking a course to go on board the cruiser "On- tario". Previous to this time AIB James Park was believed to have been tbe only Peterboro boy, for- merly of Tyrone, on board H.M. C.S. "Trentonian" one of the Royal Canadian Navy's corvettes which was sunk recently by a torpedo from a German U-boat. The Trentonian had taken part ini the invasion operations off the Frencb coast last year. St. Andrew's W.M.S. met at the home of Mrs. S. G. Chartran, Lib- erty St., on April 17tb, with Presi- dent Miss F. M. Galbraith presid- ing. Following regular business and reports the devotional hour was opened by scrîpture reading by president, followed by prayer by Mrs. W. G. Blake. Mrs. Alex Campbell had the topic which was "The Color Line" as presented in tbe study book, "Five Points About Africa".
