According ta the "Wingfoot Clan", the Bowmanville piant's house organ, Lamne Kerr - and Frank Williams received 20-year service pins; Dick Patfield, Ken Luxton, Arnold Damant and Vic- tor Jeffrey, received 15-year pins. Lamne Kerr came ta Goodlyear in 1929 and except for an absence af approximateiy one yeam, hasJ had continuous service., Frank Williams, born in Broms- grave, England, came to Goodyear in 1913. He spent four and a hall years in the army during the fimst Wold Wam befome returning ta Goodyear ýin 1919. Duing the '20s he lef t Goodyear for Genemai Motors, but returned ta the Bow- man.ville pl.ant in 1930. He has had continuous service ever since. 0f the 15-year employees, Dick Patfield was born in Montreal. He hired with Goodyear in 1935 and except for a five-year hitch in the army, he has been with the Company ever since. .Ken LLuaxton received bis 15- year pin from Superintendent R. Watt on May 23, 1950. Ken first himed with Goodyear June 16, 1927. He left the Company in 1929 only ta return in 1935 ta carry on his continuous service. Arnold V. Damant and Victor Jeffmey weme bath presented with a 15-year pin recently. The form- er was barn in Richmond. Que- bec. and worked for the C.N.R. before hiring on at Goodyear, January 17. 1935. Arnold served for 5 years during the last war. Victor Jeffrey is a Bowman- ville boy. Joining the Company in 1934 he bas had continuous ser- vice, except for a period when iGoodyear was forced ta lay off some af its womkems.
