Lindsay Students Plant 10,000 Trees Ganaraska Forest On Saturday, May 3rd, seeenty § tudents fram the Lindsay High * chool took a bus trip ta the Ganaraska Authority Forest in Durham County, where they planted 10,000 pine trees an the rolling sandy hilîs. The area ta be planted had been furrowed before their arrival. The stud- ents were divided into pairs, each with a pail ai trees and shovel. The pairs spread out aver the furrowed hilîs and by mid-after- noon a patential forest ai 10 acres had been created. The students were also taken an a walking tour ta see the eroded sub-marginal lands and the young forest that bas been planted in the past five years.
