Rev. B. K. Cronk and Rev. A. W. Harding officiat- ed. Miss Mildred Jane Peters sang "O Perfect Love" before the ceremony and "Because" during the signing of the register, Mr. T. W. Stanley provided the wedding music. The church was beautiful- ly decorated with white poms, snapdragons and Boston ferns. The bride, given in marriage by ber father, chose a gown of Chan- tilly type lace and net over satin. The strapless bodice was edged with a scalloped lace fold above the inset of finely pleated netand the Empire waistline was of the lace. The short jacket was button- ed to the Peter Pan collar and the redingote skirt was scalloped, revealing a front panel of finely pleated net. Her veil of fine tulle illusion was caught to a headdress of braided net and pearîs. The bride's cascade bouquet was of Better Times red roses, lily of the valley and sprengeri fern. The bride's attendants were Miss Gerrie Rowden, as maid of honour, Miss Muriel Austin and Miss Mary Hallowell, as brides- niaids. Their gowns were in pale mauve, apple green and maize nylon net. The strapless bodices were offset by roucbing and small flowers, and the gathered baller- ina length skirts featured the same trimming. They wore matching stoles and flowered headdresses. The maid of honour carried golden septre roses, com- bined in a nosegay with assorted sweetpeas, marquerite daisies and cornflower, the bridesmaids' nose-. gays were of Rapture pink roses, and Hildegard pink roses, with sweet peas, marguerite daisies and cornflower. Misses Sharon and Linda Tborn- dyke were flower girls in maize and apple green floor length dresses o! net over taffeta styled iilryto the bridesmaids' gowns. Tbey carried old-fashion- ed baskets of !lowers. Mr. Brian Caswell was best man for bis brother and Messrs. Murray and Howard Payne, bro- thers of the bride were ushers. At the reception held in the Church Sunday School rooms, Mrs. Payne wore a street length dress of Queen's blue crepe with black accessories. Her corsage was of Hildegard pink roses. Mrs. Cas- well chose a powder blue dress with white accessories, ber cor- sage was of Rapture pink roses. Cutting the cake, the bride used a knife which was a gift of the groom's sister. For the wcdding trip to points west, the bride chose a print silk suit in blue and white with white accessories. She wore a single orchid corsage.
