Handicapped by injuries and not full staffed, the Combines were easy prey for the Tilîson- burg squad. Raye West and Bill Berwick were bath bench- ed with injuries and the local lads were short Lowell Dykstra and Jack Marshall. Take Advantage Playing Coach Bill Simpell's squad were quick ta take the offensive and they succeeded in hemming the Combines in their own end on several occa- sions. Ontario Championships being held in Collingwood on April 26th and 27th. Bowmanville has one entry in this tournament. The boys will travel, to Collingwood by bus, leavîng Bowmanville around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 26th. The Bowmanville Little N.H. in 1957, the price having risen fromn $9.00 in 1956 to $10.00 per ton this season. Increases in price of 50c and- $ 1.00 per ton for certain grades of carrots and beets will a]si be paid by processors in 1957. Prices have not, as yet, been negotiated for cabbage and lima beans but it is expected early agreement will be reach- ed on these craps at meetings scheduled for April lSth and 16th. L. team (Bantams) will play the winners of the Niagara District at 6:15 on Friday, April 26th. The winner of this game will advance into the semi-finals while the loser'drops back intio the consolation series. Each team at the taurnament will play at least twa games.
