It is expected that more than 200 members cf other Legien Auxiliaries will visit Bowmanville. "We did not knew of this rally when we prepared our announcement" he said, "but if we had, we certainly wculd have included it in our list of Centennial Year events. We congratulate the Legion Auxiliary on obtaining this important event for Bcw- manville in its Centennial Year. Knowing the capable mariner in which the Legfion Ladies operate, we don't imagine they wi]l need our help, but if they do, we will render ail the assistance we can." "Another annual gathering is that cf nurses who received their training at Bowmanville Hospital. Perhaps this could be scheduled as another attraction cf Old Home Week". If other organizations have plans for rallies, conferences, sports events or other activities of ccm-, munity interest, the Centennial Cemmittee wculd like to be tcld, as it is keeping a register cf ahl such events and will publicise them in future announcements. Ideas WiiI Be Weicomed oay f the events now scheduled have resulted frem someenie saying to a member cf the Centennial Committee:- "Why den't you do so and se?" If any Statesman reader has an idea that might enhance the centennial program, he is urged to submit it, preferably in writing. How Your Organization Can Heip The Centennial Committee already has far more ideas than its own members can plan and carry through te a successful conclusion. Acceedingly, new sub-committees of willing citizens are being formed te handie these varieus jobs. "Many cf them can best be handled by existing organizatiens acting as agents of the Centennial Committee" says Me. Morris, "Fer example, I was delighted te receive a telephone cal last week from Mes. D. McDonald, President cf the Home and Sehool Club, who volunteered the club's help. You can be sure a specific project will be assigned te the Home and School Club at oue next meeting.
