Norm's rink burtied in 1935 or '36 tossing hockey and skating out the window here for years until our new Memorial Aena was built in 1948-49.' This is a photo of the Junior team of 1928. They lost the group championship to Oshawa àfter a hectic seven-game series in the playoffs, ,wh.ich ended with Oshawa only one goal ahead and even it was a disputed one. In those good old days Frank Pethick's barber shop was headquarters for musical instruments such as banjos, guitars, mandolins, violins and autoharps. His shop was the mecca for ambitious young musicians and this par- ticular group was in great demand at social affairs, includ- ing church and lodge entertainments, the top affair being' Mayor R. R. Loscombe's annual posh banquet at hi,, This was a well known days, known as the Park Nine.1 Fred GreenLield.
