Scbool Health Supervision In the elemeSntary ýchools in the United Counties each child is given a health inspection by the public health nurse at least three times during bis eight years at school, more of ten when the teacher observes some deviation from health, when the parent asks the nurse to see the child, or when the child's health history denotes need for close observation. During March, Hiealth Unit nurses gave health inspections ta 1,140 school children. Included in these were 922 vision tests. There were 167 visits to homes of school children to confer with parents. Nine school child- ren wvere excluded from school because of communicable di- sease and 13 children sent home because of illness.
