Unfortunately, we were unable to locate an engraving of the Yelverton Church although we spent several hours trying to track one down. TAKE OFF DOORS - Two more deaths occurred unnecessarily in Toronto thîs week when youngsters crawled inside an abandoned refrig- erator and smothered. ONE WEEK LATE ' The Fix the Mix-Up Contest announced last week as starting in this issue has been delayed for one week due to layout and copy difficulties. However, it is expected to get underway next week and will run for five weeks, with many weekly prizes being won and one big prize, a trip for two to Nassau. If you are a merchant and haven't already entered, there are stili a few openings, but you should contact The Statesman within the next couple of days. NO CHANGE - Merchants'held' a coffee break meeting at the Bowmanville Hotel on Tuesday morning to discuss closing hours for town stores. After more than an hour of deliberation, it was obvious that no agreement could be reached for a general closing all day Monday or Wednesday. For the meantime, there wili be no change fromu the Wednesday afternoon closing. 1
