Ail sections of the community have taken part in the whole-hearted effort ta make the Santa Claus Parade a most enjoyable and outstandingly memor- able event. Womnen's organizatians have been busily making the innumnerable specially designed costumes for the amazing flbats. The Bowmanville Ladies' Auxiliary ta the Royal Canadian Legion, and the arganizatiaris of the town 's churches will prepare sandwiches for those taking part. Lunch for the 1,500 participants in the parade w'Ill be served bef are the event in St. Jaseph's Hall, and after the parade a lunch will be served for them at Memarial Park Clubhause. One of the calarful segments of the one and a haîf ta two-mile parade will be a tribe of Indians in camplete barbaric splendar, riding harses led by a castumed chief tapped by a glariaus feathered head- dress. It will be the longest Christmas parade ever held in this area. Although the great sights ta be seen during the parade will be breath-taking, spectators are urged ta cheer and applaud! By showing generaus apprecia- tian for ail the stupendaus wark involved in the achievement thase taking part will be encouraged, and their morale lifted high. The crowds will be sa delighted that they will be baund ta show much enthusiasmi. Prior ta the parade Fred Griffin and Ted Clarke will go amnong the throngs waiting ta view it, selling 18 foot banners at $3.95 each ta help in defraying the casts of the gorgeous and gigantic spectacle.
