The Canadian Statesman, Eowmanvflle, Oct. 13, 1008 Si~ Neighbors lnjured in H*ýad-fon Collision Six people were injured in % collision on Nash Road, one quarter of a mile west of Maple Grove Road, on Sunday afternoon at 4:37 o'clock. The drivers of the cars involved were Steven Doyle, R.R. 3, Bowmanville and Roy Andrews, also of R.R. 3, Bowmanville. Top photo shows the Doyle car. Lower picture shows dam- age to the Andrews vehicle. Mrs. Doreen Doyle, a passenger in her husband's car, received severe scalp and facial lacerations. Her unother, Mrs. Elva Jeffery, age 72, suffered leg lacera- tions and chest injuries. Mrs. Jeffery is a patient in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Dloyle received emergency treatment at Memorial Hospital, and then was transferred to the Toronto General Hospital. Mr. Doyle received treat- ment for forehead lacera- tions in the Out-Patient DQartment of Memorial Hospital, where his five year aid son, Earl, was given treatment for minor injuries. Mr. Andrews, the driver of the other car, and his son, Allen, age 11, were also treated in the Out-P a t i e nt Department for minor injuries. Ail the injured were taken ta hospital. by the Bowman ville Area Ambu- lance. Constable Murray Joynt, OPP, investigated the accident.
