Net one in a hundred of our subscribers has kicked because the price has beenR raised fromi $1.530 to $2.00 a year in Canada and $9-V" la the UJnited Statce. Possibly no subscriber has feit tjie necessity for theane so kee-nly as the publishers, so it is a source of great satisfaction that they are staying ioyaliy by himâ through this period of the hjgh cost of newsprint. When we) charged a dollar a year for the paepers we paid around $60 a ton for paper. The last shipmnent we received wvas $140 a ton and we always pay cash, too. The pub- lishers are very gratefui to their sub- soçribers for their continueDd patronageo un.der such unusual circumnstances and will show tiieir appreciation la a con- tinued endeavor to -publiih a newspaper wýorthy of reputation The James Papers have long enjoyed. May 1921 be a year of abounding prosperity for ail our read- ers. We were pleased to read in this week's budget of our good Tyrone editor that at the annual school mieeting lftting re- ference to the satisfactory services of the teacher was mandu. This is as shoula be when dleserved. Too littie acknow- ledgment is given usually to teachere. It arives somne parents nearly crazy to manage their own lively offsp)rin, but a teacher cani have a whole Year's care and worry of the children of the whoie sec- tion five days a Week and paýirenltso r truüstees neyer give the slighitest praise o rf encouragement. 8. we are gilad te sec tUat Tyrone people know how te treat a good teacher and do fi right, toc. Their action wili put Ueart into the teacher I to give the very best service possible thru this new ygar. COURSE IN AGRUCULTURE.
