Neale and theïr friends were host to Capt. and Mrà. Neale on the eve of the latters' departure for England. Through the 'generosity of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Cawker, their beautiful home, Norway Cottage, was the scene of the festivity, on Wednesday even-~ ing, June l4th. Rev. C. P. Muirhead, as chairman of the evening, referred in very flattering language to Mrs. Neale's musical activities, while a resident of Bowmanvilie, and voiced, the hope of ail that the talen ted couple -would, up- on their return to Canada, inSeptem- ber, again make Bowmanviile their home. Mr. Otto Bragg read an address from the local pupils, expressing their appreciation of the very earnest and successful tutorial efforts of Mrs. Neale, and Miss Janey Mason pre- sented her with a beautiful gold wrist watch. Mrs. Neale, aithough taken com- pietely by surprise, responded with a very pretty speech.- Mrs. D. R. Morrison, the accompanist of Mrs. Neale's pupils, was also remembered, being the recipient of a beautiful bou- quet of carnations. After a delightful, inf ormai pro- MR.
