Fromi the time 1 entered that home on Queen Street, which was Thursday evening, June l4th., 1872, she was in every s-ense like a mother to me and bas been ail through the years a beautiful, cheerful -spirit ail the tine. I had, of course, a chancei to see tche home 1f e as well as the public one. She was a devoted wife, a good mnother, and lest but not ieast, she was a good 1nistree.s. Row kind and generous she was to nly dear sister Bessie, (the late Mrs. John Darch), when she arrived fromr England to be the servant girl in the house with me wbere I was learning the business of hutcher. Then on xny sister's leaving she was just the same to the one who took lier place wlio afterwards became mny precious partner in life. No eulogy of mine could overate this noble, good woman. 1 should on passing also like to pa~y a tribute to ail the family. Mrs. Williamns' mother was just like a grand- mother to me and Ail ler sisters al- -ways liad a kind and cheery word for Little Mark. Rer brother, famniliarily known in those days as Bill Prower, was very kind to me. If he thougrt 1I want- ed to go to tbe Torwn Hlall to see some doings he would pass me a quarter and say "Here Mark my boy, go and see it." Take a glance up and down dear old Kin.- Street from east to west. T ear nrotner ear old tofwu 53 who are left are mark, including God bas been samne -wil oe said about us as it nas been said about my dear friend and Canadîan mother. Dear Alan and Nellie have my deepest sympatliy in their great loss. Little Mark. 3018 Terry Place, Los Angeles, Cal. Sept. 23, 1925.
