ý,,,IZÂBETH VILLE On Thesday evening, April 17th, the United Church WoM~en held their Faster Thankoffering services. Mrs. D. Monroe, Mrs. N. Gardiner, Mrs, K. Loengear, MNrs. W. Aiken had the dev4otional part and they presented an excel- lent service. Mrs. Minifie brought us a report on the United Church conference held in Saskatoon last August. She had somie excellent pic- tiires. Mrs. N. Bristowe pre- sided. Mrs. G. Morris thanked our guest speaker. Guests attended from Port Hope, Welcomne, Canton and Perry- town. Church services were field on Good Friday at Canton for the whole charge. Rev. J. A. Ramjit brought us an excel- lent message. The choir sang. Seven ladies from here took in the bus trip to Fabric Bazaar sponsored by Shiloh Ujnited Church Women last Tuesday. Mr. and MIrs. Hubert Cob- bledick, Leamnington; MIr. and Mrs. V. Peacock, -Mr. and Mrs. R. White who have just returned fromn Florida were visitors with Mr. and Mrs. C. Beatty recently. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Muldrew and Natalie, Ottawa; Mr. and iMrs. B. Mclntosh and boys, Cold Springs; Mr. and MNrs. R. Avery and family, Oshawa, were with Mr. and Mrs. H. Muldrew for Easter. Mr. Gordon Morris is hte again. Mr. and Mrs. L. Muldrew hope to be home to stay on Saturday after their long ilinesses. Mr. H. Quantrili went to Peterborough hospital on Wednesday for an operation on his nose hurt at the ime ol his accident Iast faîl. Mrs. 0. Mercer, Mrs. H, Quantrili visited with MIr. and Mrs. L. Muldrew in shawa Tuesday> Mr. and MiNrs. H. Staats, Brantford, spent the weekend wvith Mr. and Mrs. Hl. Thick- son. Other visitors were Mlr. and Mrs. J. Dekoker, Ux- bridge; Mr. and MIrs. Robert Westheuser and Alyson, Miss- es Nancy Fowler, Helen Trew and Harry Fowler. Miss Helen Trew and Garry Fowler and Alan Trew spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. H. Moore, Stayner. Mlrs. Carter and her daugh- ter, Port Perry, visited with MIr. and, Mrs. C. Beatty recently. New people have moved i nto Walter Gordon's. They are from Ottawa. Mr. and Mrs. L. Hanaka's new car was damiaged when it rolled down a drive in Bewd'ley and ran into a house across the road on Friday at Mrs. E. Childress's. Michelle Quantrill is staying with Mrs. H. Quantrill for the -weelcend and Howard will be home on Saturday. Miss Doris Beatty, Garry Fowler and Bob Mercer are through this week and will be home from the different universities that they are attending for their holidays.
