P/a yed Part of Pierre The Newcastle Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police investigated the follow- ing motor vehicle collisions and occurrences during the week of April 30th to May 6tb, 1973. Twenty-two motor vebiie collisions were investigated in which 12 persons were injur- ed. As a result of these four collisions 13 persons were charged with offences under the Highway Traffic Act and two were charged with offen- ces under the Criminal Code. Along with other duties the Newcastle officers completed 83 investigations of which 4 were break and enter or a ttempts of break and enter. 4 tbeft, 1 trespass, 1I bomb scare, 1 domestic, 4 reports of mnissing persons, 4 of found property, 2 of lost property and 5 driving complaints, one of which was dangerous driv- ing. A summary of occurrences investigated during the past week are as follows; As a resuit of furtber nvestigation into the recent break, enterand tbeft at the Mosport Park control tower, one more person bas, been, charged with possession of stolen goods and two persons have been cbarged with break and enter. More property valued at over $75 bas been recovered. It was reported that several aIutomiobiles were damaged whiile parked along Hwy. 4011 in the'Wilmot Creek area. This damage consisted of several tires being slashed. An implement wortb approx. $14100Y.èO which was stolen. from the area nortb- west of Mosport Park bas since been recovered. This implement was driven around E POR T the area wbere it was stolen and eventually collided witb an abandoned bouse wbere il and the bouse burned. Some of the surrounding bush was alsc burned.
