The district includes clubs from Bay Ridges to Cornwall and from Peterborough south to Lake Ontario. These tournaments are most'important as the competitors for Provincial, Canadian and Junior Olympiec competitions are chosen'from the district winners. In the early match, the Furniture outfit left their record at 2-3, as they surpris- ed the T.V. troop, (3-2), 5-3. Rick Woolner tallied four of the winner's goals, giving him 18 points af ter f ive games and second spot in the scoring race. McNultys recovered from a 3-1, third period deficit, going on to post a 4-3 triumph against County Chrysier .The losers presently have tbree wins in five tries for six points, while McNultys (2-3) are tied with Kramps. Bruce Meadows witb his fourth and fifth goals of the year in the third period, steered McNultys toward their victory. The sportsmen have managed only 19 goals af ter five games, six less than county and 12 behind Lockes. Steve Burns, with nine and Meadows, have accounted for 14 of their 19 markers. In the 8 p.m. affair, Kramps took a 3-0 lead into the final period against Lockes. Wray Rendel -opened the game's scoring at 1.42 of the first, with bis fourth. Woolner, wbo taliied 26 in 18 games last season, followed witb two of his four goals.
