James Rolph Paterson, 479 Lanark Dr., Oshawa, pleaded "guilty" to driving while ability was impaired Aug. 5 by alcohol or drug. Const. Brunt- on received word a car was southbound on highway 35. The officer followed the car west on highway 2 where it crossed the centre line three times. He was fined $250. and costs, in default 25 days. An order was issued prohibiting him from driving anywhere for six months except between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. The charge of failing to provide a breath sample was withdrawn. Peter R. Jack, 21, 38 John St., Port Hope, was found "guilty" October 16 of taking a motorcycle from R. McDonald Bowmanville, appeared for sentencing. A pre-sentence report was submitted. The crown said he has had his last chance. He was put on suspended sentence for two years, to keep the piece and be of good behavior and to report to probation officer once a month. Paul Appleman, 21, R.R. 1, Port Hope, who also was found "guilty" along with Peter Jack of taking the motorcycle, was placed on suspended sentence for two years, to report once a month to officer, is not to leave present employment without the con- sent of the court. He is also to take the necessary stçps to put in order his marital problems. Daniel Alldread, 16, 300 High St. Bowmanville, plead- ed "guilty" to two charges, (1) being in an intoxicated condi tion in Bowmanville arena, (2) consuming liquor while under- age. Const.
