Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gra- hami were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Loveridge and fam'ily, Tyrone, on- Sun- day, celebrating Mrs. Leslie Grahamn's birthday, congratu- lations. Mrs. A. Thompson was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Taylor, on Sunday, and attended the service at Enfield Church in the after- faon. On Saturday a pot-luck supper was held at the Community Centre, with a, good attenýdance, followed by a Christmas programme, which opened wîth "It'came upon a midnight clear". A Christmas Story by Mrs. J. Potts, MIrs. A. Trewin, and Mrs. L. Siemnon. Piano solo by Lynda Leavens. Reading, Sandy Jones. Trio - Lori Ann Garrard played the piano, Lynda Leavenis and Lynda I3uttery sang "Silver Belîs". A numnber of Christmi-as Carols were sung. Piano solo, Susan Siemon, Atlan Ashton, piano solo. Ail sang "The night Before Christmas"'. A short skit by Lori Ann Garrard, Susan Siemon, Lynda Leavens and Sandy Jones with Mrs. Lloyd Siemon doing the read- îng. After which jolly Santa, arrived with his gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Siemion and Susan and Mr. E. R. Taylor attended the presentation of "The Miessilah", by the United Ch urch choirs from Kingsview and Centennial Chur-ches, Oshawa, at- Hampton United Church a weekç ago last Sunday afternoon. Wedding beils are surely breaking up "that old gang of mmne."Who remembers the words of that sog OPP Report The Newcastle Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police investigated the follow- ing mnotor vehicle collisions and occurrences during the week of December 10,1973 to December 16,1973. Twenty-eighit motor vehicle collision s w ere investigated in which eight persons were injured. As a resuit of these collisions, one charge has been laid under the Highway Traffic Act and one under the Criminal Code. The Newcastle officers also, completed 85 occurrences of general nature. Some of, these occurrences are as follows: been reported stolen in Ken- tucky, U.S.A. was recovered during the past week on Highway 4101 - Clarke Town- ship.
