10 The Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville, OPP Report The Newcastle Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police investigated the follow- ing motor vehicle collisions and occurrences during the week of March 11, 1974 to March 17, 1974. Twenty-six motor vehicle collisions were investigated in which nine persons were injured. As a resuit of these collisions six persons have been charged with1 offences under the Highway Traffic Act and three persons have been charged with driving offences under the Criminal Code. The Newcastle officers also completed 84 occurrences of a general nature. Somne of these occurrences are as follows:- There were five investigations into the offence of "Theft", one investigation into the offence of ",Break-Enter", three investigations concern- ing "assaults" and one Invest- igation concerning "Fraud".
