H1e was observed driving east on 401 in an erratic manner. Canst. Keely was the investigating afficer. The car accelerated up ta 100 miles an hour as the afficer, tried ta stop him. At 115 and 35 it turned north where a road block was set up. He rammed the cruiser three times. Final- ly the car hit a stop sign and Pilon was apprehended. The car had been stolen from an undegrund garage in Toron- ta a=n with several credit cards fram another car in the same garage. Damage ta the car was $500. and ta the cruiser $1,000. Counsel said Pilon had' been, workîng in Toronto and had anly driven on five previous occasion s. He panicked when he saw the police car. On the criminal negligence charge he was given one month more in -addýttion to the time hie has already served. He was pro- hibited from driving any- where in Canada for two years. He will be more mature at that time. Honor W, Frank Rickard On September 3 Wor. Bro. W. Frank Rickard of New- castle was honored by Master of 50 years in Ontario District. Mr. Rickard, 90, was pre- sented with an engraved harometer hy Wor. Bro. Robert Shearer, Master of Durham Lodge. W. Bro. Alex Carruthers M.P.P. presented him with a framed seroll from the Province of Ontario. A letter of congratulations from the Grand Master ,of the Grand Lodge of Ontario was presented by Rt. Wor. Bro. D. Fear, Deputy District Grand Master, Oshawa. Another scroll was presented by W. Bro. Homer Boake of Whitby from the Past Masters and Wardens Association of which Mr. Boake is President. W'. Bro. John Rickard, Past Master of Durham Lodge, highlighted his father's ma- sonic career. In 1916, Mr. Rickard was initiated and he FULL TIME Sales Clerk required.
