The agreements were signed a year ago for a two year period. "The cost ýof living clause isn't in our COLA section of CUPE contracts", said trus- tee Al Strike of Bowmanville, but it is on our teachers' contracts, I think it's only fair we should look at it before the end of this budget year". The board was informed that other provincial contracts were being opened to provide for the inflationary increase in the cost of living index despite two year contract agree- ments. The non-teaching salary committee is to meet with the ,group, as well as the secretar- ies of the board, if they wish to be included.
