There were over 250 entries in this particular class, so his achievement was a noteworthy one. Mike and his 1955 Chevrolet Belair are shown above. He purchased it in Chicago some time ago and has been working hard, putting it in shape for competition. It is powered by an L-88 427, 700 horsepower engine and has been evaluated at reaching a speed of '132 mph in il seconds. He has competed in Niagara, Georgetown and Cayuga races. "Loyers and Othe'- Stranp gers" is the Bowmanville Drama Workshop's 1975 pro- duction of five one-act piays based on the humourous side of sex. The first of these plays is titled "Brenda and Jerry"I starring Bonnie MVorrison and Dave Schwaim. The play opens wîth Jerry trying to lure Brenda to his bachelor apart- ment with a new line that he thinks he left the gas on in his oven. Will she be taken in by this? The second play is "Ilai and Cathy" starring John Amnes- burV and Pat Marjerrison. These two try, to solve al their probiems in the confines of a bathroom, Next is the play "Johnny and Wlma' starring i-eter ,oonî and Iris HelIam. Womens Lib enters into this play as this married couple fight to deter- mine who is to be boss. The fourth couple is "Mike and Susan" starring Peter Sobil and Cathy Godfrey. Mike has the wedding jitters and wants to caîl it all off before it's too late. The fifth spot is filled by "Frank and Bea, Ricby and Joan", starring John Ames- bury, Joan 1H1ll, Rick Morrison and Pat Rundie., Mom and Dad give many and varied reasons why Richy and Joan should not end their marriage.
