The match was a penalty- ridden affair with Frank's being assessed 12 of 21 infractions. By the end of the second period, Frank's had built up a 4-1 lead on goals by Steve Burns, (two), Gary Wilson and Paul Forsey. Sandy Brown scored Brooks' lone tally to this point and then came back in the third to set up the other two which were netted hv Rick Woolner and Bob Howes. Frank's got four penalties in the last four minutes giving Brooks' an exc ellent opportun- ity to send the game into, overtime but this was not to be Brooks'ý week as tfley iîeci to do so.
