Rall Call - "What I would like ta do when 1 retire," was well answered. The Minutes were read and ado pted and correspondence read. An in- vitation was received from the Bowmanville Institute for four ladies ta attend their 75th Anniversary banquet on June 5. Those attending will be Mrs. Allin, Mrs. Chant, Mrs. Mack- lin and Mrs. Yeo. The Voting Delegates for the District Annual will be Mrs. . Bryant, Mrs. Chant and Mrs. Mount- enay. Mrs. Burrows moved the date for the annual Strawberry Dessert Tea ta be held in dune, seconded by Mrs. Caverly. Il was decided ta seil coffee and donuts at^ Mrs. Bryant's sale in dune. Mrs. Chant reported on the plans ta date for the Ploughing Match. Mrs. Macklin eave the Motta "Happiness Is". The ladies then adjourned ta wark on scrap books ta be sent ta hospitals. Mrs. Bryant and Mrs. Burrows served tea and cake ta the ladies while they worked. OBITUARY ALBERT A. HILLS A prominent and respected citizen, Albert Arthur Hilîs, died suddenly at his residence on Centre St., Bowmanvîlle, April 17th, 1975. The son of the late Horatia and Bessie Buckley His, Mr. Hilis was born in Clarke Twp.an Nov. lst, 1891, later moving with his parents ta Darlingtan Township. A farm- er for most of his life at Lot 16 Con. 7 Darlington, retiring ta 1?yrone in 1954 where hie resided until hie moved ta Bowmanville in 1969. Mr. Hilîs was married in 19J21 ta the late Stella Couch who predeceased him in 1967. Active in church and school work, hie was a trustee of S.S. No. 21 Haydon for a number of 'e ars, a member of Tyrone niited Church, serving as an Eider, Trustee and Steward, aind represented Tyrone Cir- cuit at the Bay of Quinte Conference for several years, a dedicated Superintendent and teacher of the Sunday Schaol, a member of the Jerusalem Lodge AF and AM No.* 31 and of the Durham Chapter 181 Order of the Eastern Star. !n 1969 hie married Aura RudeSquaîr and moved ta Bowmanville.
