The program has been running forý several weeks at Centennial Public School, Kirby, in an attempt to reduce the number of fatalities on Highways 115 and 35. That part of Ontario is usually a f ew weeks behînd this area in seeding and garden growth but'the bot weather of May had changed that, and much of land work was far advanced. The wbole countryside was lovely to see Womk went abead quickly this past week on the bridge over the ail road tracks with huge beams placed over the CPR tracks on Mondçiy and ov-er the CNR tacks on Thursday. With beams over 100 feet long and a huge crane it took some managing 10 get all the equipment around the turns in the road and acmoss the railway cossings witbout mishap. The centre span over the space between the tacks is not completed. Demolition bas been started on some of the buildings in the way of construction. The brick bouse by the tacks, home for a hundred years or more for many people bas been taken down and the Bee bouse was burnt on Saturday morning after everytbing usable bad been removed.
