Mvr. and Mrs. Frank White were ac-com,-panied by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brookhiouse and son, Dennis of Belleville and Mrs. Gerald White of Plevna, to their niece's Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Braswell, Linden- hurst, New York on the occasion of their 35th wedding annliversary'. Caliers with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whi te this week were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Goodwin of Ennismore and Miss Sylvia Hlodgins of London, Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bradley and son, Tomnmy have returned from holidays which took them to Aberta where thiey visited with a number of relatives as well as sight- seeing. Mýr. Bob Green and Mr. Bob Palmer have returned from a vacation that was to have taken themy to Saskatchewan but only got as far as Thunder Bay whien Bob Green rolled his mtorcycle. He suffered a fractured collarbone in the mnishap. ,Sçympathy is extended to the family of the late Mr. Walter Neals . Mr. Neals passed away on Saturday ini Peterborough. Six local boys, Greg Ficko, Wayne M%,ontgomery, Greg Montgomery, Robert Kruk, Gleni Weathierilt and Charles Levail, al working for five weeks under a grant which was made available by the Opportunities For Youth Organization have completed a new playground in the Bethany Athletic Park. The boys have built two sandboxes comnplete with sand, swings, climbing apparatus, picnic tables, a horseshoe pit, and a scoreboard for ballgames. These things were really needed for a while now and it's good to see the young folks taking an interest and pitching in to help. A special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Montgo- mnery who voluntarily guided the boys and to the Athletic Association for providing the land for the equipment and a bt of guidance also. Well done Boys and Thanks alot. Vfter their miarriage, Mr. and Mr.s. Bunn. went to the Lake Sîmcoe area where Erniie was employed as a gardener at some of the fine homnes there. They were members of Christ Church at R>oche's Point where they stili live and for 40 years Audrey had been the organist. t was a complete surprise w7hen the rector called lier to the front of the church one Sunday in June, and read an address of appreciation from the congregation.
