16 The Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville, September 17, 1975 HAYDON Club 21, members held their meeting Sept. th, chairlady Rena Potts opened the meet- ing with a reading, Queen Anne's Lace. Secretary's and Treasurer's were read and approved. It was moved by Kay Buttery, seconded by Rena Potts, to have a Fail Sale in with Clifford Pethick's Auction Sale. Blanche Jones introduced our guest of the evening. Mrs. Bey West from Bev's Floral Art Shop in Bowmanville and ber sister. She demnonstrated the arranging of Cut Flowers, and made up several planters which looked beautiful and as a professional she made it appear so easy, while she answered questions, she created a noodle from mumns and pipe cleaners. Upon re- quest she showed the nack of bow making. The members' names were placed ina dish and drawn for the 'Floral Creation. Mrs. Mildred Ander- son won a cup and saucer arrangement of posies, Kay izjuttery the poodie, Ileen Blackburn, three roses in a brandy glass, Lily Tabb, a planter of glads,, mums and daisies. Rena Potts was the lucky lady to get the Dainty Cor- sage. She thanked our guest and group one served lunch and tea. Club 21 are having a community sale in combina- tion with Clifford Pethick's Sale of vegetables, Home Baking and flowers, etc. See Auction Sales. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ashton, Oshawa were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ashton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jones, Welland, Mrs. Garry Boumne, Oshawa, were Saturday visit- ors of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mason, Brockville, were week-end guests and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Degeer and family, Blackstock, were Sunday visitors of the J. Jones Family. Mrs. W. Martin, Hillsdale Manor, Oshawa, Miss Mary Potts, Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Clark and Mrs. Art Clark, Bowman- ville were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. J. Potts on the week-end. Miss Ruth Jackson, Baille- boro, Mrs& Russell Gilbert, Bowmanville, Mrs. Lloyd Siemonand Susan were Sun- day callers at Mrs. C. Gar- rard's. Mr. and Mrs. Ally Kincaid, Avonlea, Sask. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ashton, and Bey Margory Ashton, Cal- gary. Mrs. A. Read was Wednes- day supper guest of Mr. an Mrs . Cayon Read, Rob and Steven, celebrating Steven's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ashton attended the Bowman wed- ding on Saturday.
