The Durham Region His- torical Tent, where Mrs. Wiseman will be present most days, bas a kitchen, parlor and bedroom set up witb appropriate furnîsbings and cî-aft work being demonstrat- ed. From this district are Mrs. W. Rabm, Tyrone, first prize- winner 1975 (and other years) at the C.N.E. for braided rug, showing how she does this work. and Mrs. Penny Ann Davidson, R.R.l, Bowman- ville. who will be spfinning. Also being demonstrated in the tent are butter making, rug weaving, candle making, chair caning, and making corn husk dolîs, and pioneer work such as rope making, shingles, boring pump logs, woodwork- ing shop and a pit saw. At one end of the Historical Tent, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police ha ve two displays. one depicýting the miovement out West, the other a North-West Territory scene with covered wagon. At the other end two or three early automobiles are on display. Elizabeth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Thompson, Chris is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allin Dowson. Basil Long and the Rev, Glen Richardson united in mar- niage Marilyn Isabel, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hamm of Orono and Bruno John Joseph, son of Mrs, Barban and the late Mr. Joseph Barban of Sault Ste. Mr. Gordon Walken and daughter Gail of Thornhill, OPjP R EPO00RT' During the past week the Ontario Provincial Police in- vestigated twenty-two Motor Vehicle Collisions and one hundred and twelve general occurrences. The Motor Vehicle Collis- ions resulted in fifteen penson being injured and eleven persons being charged with offences under the Highway Traffic Act and the Criminal Code. The general occujçrence in- vestigations consisted of the following: Thene were nine investigations into "Thef t, offences, two investigations into "Wilful Damage" of- fences, une investigation into a "Break and Enter" and one investigation into an offence of "Pointing a Fireanm". As a result of these offences seven persons have been charged with offences under the Cri- minal Code. Two persons have been charged with offences under the Liquor Control Act, two persons have been charged with "Impaired.Driving", two Miss Susan Baîl and Mr. Les Hrebicek of Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stapleton and son Lee of Oshawa, Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Patterson were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ken BaIl. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Ruther- ford attended the Scultborpe annual banquet and dance in Port Hope. The music was suppled by the "Additions" Kirby United Cburch Anni- versary Service Sunday morn- ing at 9:45 arn., Sept. 28th. Special speaker will be Rev. 623-5431 John E. Hunter of Aurora.
