An old fashioned quilting party was held last Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Lewis Wood when seven ladies of her group gathered to do a patch work W uilt which they hope to seil. e are pleased to note that the art of quilting is not beipg lost and we would hope that these ladies will continue in their good work. They enjoyed a delicious pot luck luncheon at the noon hour. Miss Ileather Barrie, Waterloo University spent.last weekend with her parents. Heather is really overwhelm- ed by the size of her classes at university, most especiaill ber psychology course which invoîves something like 300 students. We were pleased to be among the hundreds of G.M. workers and their families who were invited to a special showing of the 1976 automo- biles at the site of the World Ploughing Match on Sunday. New cars are always attrac- tive but this year the most noticeable feature in the display is the new smaller sized vehicle. This car which incidentally, will be so much easier for the ladies to park, p romises to be a wonderful fuel saver at its 48 miles to the gallon of gas. We trust that its lower price will also make it very popular to all buyers. The most distinctive automo- bile there, we thought, is the small sized Cadillac with its Mercedes shape, vinyl roof and very stylish interior. Miss Karen Baîl, Centennial College, spent last weekend at home. Karen finds ber Medi- cal Secretary course quite interesting and is thoroughly enjoying apartment living.
