Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Malcolm were daughter Bonnie, husband Jim Bilton and grandsons David and Samuel. Mrs. Rae Malcolm is now at Helges' Nursing Home in Uxbrid2e. Mrs. Milton Fisher and Mrs. Lawrence Malcolm attended the Di strict Hospital Auxiliary Convention on Wednesday. This was hosted by the Port Perry Group in the United. Church. On Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Don Frew were hosts when three gentlemen from Ireland and one from Holland who had participated in the World Plowing Match were dinner and supper guests. The gentle- man from Holland is the Chairman of the World Plow- ing Association. During the day Mr., Frew took them on a tour of local successful farm- ing operations. They visited the farms of Mr. John Bonsma, (specializing in beef) Mr. John BÜaunchem (laying hien project) Mr. Arnold Taylor (broiler chickens) Mr. John Wolters (dairy cattle) and Don Frew and Sons (tobacco). In the evening Mr. Dave Frew entertained their guests witI' pictures of fanm- ing interests. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Malcolm were hosts, for mid-day dinner, to the. ploughmen of Rodesia. Mr alcolm who took them on a'tour of his own dairy farm, Mr. Frew's tobacco farm and to the office of the Regional Township of Scugog over which Mr. Malcolm eresi des as Mayor. The gentlemen from Rhodesia were all tobacco farmers where all operations are done manually., The World Plowing Match should do much to foster good will and better understanding among ahl countries. Al visitors have spoken well of Canadian Hospitality. Lake Scugog Softball At Malcolm Memorial Park, on Sunday the second game Pontypool vs Nestieton gave Nestleton the win with the score 11-5. This is one game each. The last game will be played at Pontypool next Sunday, October 12 at 2 p.m. On Wednesday evening members of Court Lady Snow- bird had evening dinner at Taylor; Treasurer Louise Ko- vacs; Vice Pres.
