They attended the funeral of bis grandmother, Mrs. Olga Hlli on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bradburn of Oshawa visited both sets of Ê arents,- Mr. and Mrs. Joe radburn and Mr. and Mrs. Harold McLaughlin. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mouýntjo and son of'Stouffville visited bis parents Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Mountjoy. Saturday guests of Mrs. Wilbert Archer were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Archer of Whitby. Sunday supper guests were Mr' and Mrs. Jim Archer and daughter, Whitby; Mr. and Mrs. WiIl Du gan of Minden. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dug an and Nancy of Minden called en- route to visit friends in Oshawa. President John Wolters presided for the evening' s business. John, in bis president's address stress- ed the importance of the tremendous spirit, ofco-opera - tion that is so much a part of Blackstock Fair. Everyone is willing to help whenever neede d. He reviewed our Blackstock Fair of 1975 whîch was so successful in every way. John extended his appreciation to the exhibitors, the directors, the excellent dlean-up committee under the chairmanship of Keith Van- Camp and to the secretary. He ended by saying that although SBlackstock Fair is not big it certainly is well-seasoned. After the minutes and cor- respondence a favourable financial report was present- ed. Harold àwain presented the Hall Trophy and the Field Crop Trophy to the 1975 Field crop winner, Mr. Bob DeJong, wt a few well chosen words. Sutton, secretary-mana ger of the Peterborough Exhibition who in turn introduced Mrs. Norma Cornish, a director of the Peterborough Exhibition and the Crafts Convenor-of the Fair Board Convention to be held Feb. 18 and. 19 in Toronto. The two ladies carried on an informaI but most informative dialogue which dealt with many features of Fair, work. Questions were invited fromr the Meeting which brought forth an interesting dis- cussion. Jim Byers presented each lady with a_ plant as a token of gra m. This year the award has been gien to Nancy Ross of Brooklin. In addition to high achievement in her studies at Dra, Nancy is workingy part time at General Motors in the coputer room, obtaining excellent practical exper- lence.
