TYRONE Athletic Association The regular montbly meet- ing will be held on Sunday, dune 6, 1976 at 7:30 p.m. in the old hall. Sunday is the big day for the teamn members in Tyrone, since ail the new uniforms w ilI be banded out at 1: 00 p. m. in the new hall. This is the first time in the bistory of the village that we have invited the local press to record the occasion. The little fellows (7-10 years) get into action again tbis week playing against Hampton in Tyrone on Tues- day in basebaîl and playing against Orono in soccer on Thursday. The Junior Soccer team coached by Louis Phil- lips lost to Solina last week, 4 to 1, but sbowed lots of promise, according to John Vîrtue, the Assistant Coach. It would seem we don't need the Strawberry Festival to bave some excitement in Tyrone. It bas been brought to the attention of the local correspondent that some people apparently were feel- ing the heat early Sunday morning and decided to take a dip in one of the local spas. The worst of it is that 'Yours Truly was in the vicinity around about the same time - and missed it - darn it!!! Euchres First prize went to Marjorie Vance with 86, second prize to Maxine Brock with 85, third prize to Peter Coombes with 83, fourth prize to ,Earl Prescott witb 79 and fifth prize to Effie Ploughman with 78. The luw score was won by Lance Phare with 44 and Marg Watson with 44. 50-50 draw winner was Nellie Lunn. The Senior Citizens meet this Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the new hall and will be holding another bingo game the same evening at 7:30 p.m. Those, who missed the last bingo game sbould try to get out to this one, because it's a lot of fun.
