Letter to the Editor Re: Job Opportunities )ear Editor: I bave, in the course of the Estimates of the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations, discovered two job penings whicb 1 thrnk people might be interested in. On the Liquor Licence Appeal Tribunal there are five positions. Three are filled but Éwo vacancies, exist which might' be of interest to someone unemployed as a resuit of the government's fscal restraint programn, pos- sibly a former hospital em- ployee, or to someone wbo annot qualify, for welfare or nemployment insurance. The Board was appointed in pril of this year and. has ,andled one appeal and even àat has not been decided, so te workload will not be too )nerous. The pay is $85 per lay. The Chairman's job has lready been filled by John Varemko, ex-Tory Cabinet Winister, who is struggling ilong on $38,000 a year. According to Mr. Handle- ian,-applications should go to ,e Cabinet. There are apparently no lualifications.
