Haskilli - Vance Wedding I St. John's Anglican Church, ~cW~te k ~et ~g ~Bowmanville was the scene of a lovely summer wedding on Saturday, June 12th, 1976 when Reverend Thomas Gracie united in marriage Lynda Cheryl Vance and Robert William Haskill. Mr. Terry Dawson was the organ- ist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raiph J. Vance and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Haskill, al of Bowmanville. Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a formai wedding gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle. The bodice peplum, front and back panels were fashioned of Chantilly lace and the bouf- fant skirt was of nylon tulle. The fitted bodice was designed with long, lily pointed sleeves and a Bateau neckline. The bodice front was embellished with seed pearîs and sequins. A.n exquisite crown of pearîs and crystals- held a billowy shoulder length veil of pure silk Illusion and she carried a cascade bouquet of Belinda sweetheart roses, white car- nations and baby's breath. The maid of honor was the sister of the groom, Miss Marg. Haskill and the brides- maids were the sister of the bride, Mrs. Carol Chinn and the bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. Dawn Vance. Best man was Mr' Douglas Smith and the ushers were Mr. John Vance, brother of the bride and Mr. George Haskill, brother of the groom. The bride's mother received the guests at the reception held in Nighting4le Centennial Hall wearing a formal coral gown and a corsage of Sonya sweetheart roses and white carnations. The grooms mother assisted in receiving the guests in a formai yeliow gown and a white gardenia corsage.-, Leaving on a honeymoon in Winnipeg the bride wore an icy orange, two piece skirt and jacket, white accessories and a white gardenia corsage. Hendry united in Graduate In marriage, Bonnie Lynne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McGhee, R.R. 6, Bowmanviile and, Delmar Albert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rudman, Newcastle. Mr. Ross Metcalf presided at the organ. The bride, given in mar- niage by her father, wore a formai gown of white nylon sheer over tafetta, featuring a scalloped neckline and fitted bodîce of chantilly lace edged with seed pearîs. Scalloped trumpet sleeves of chantilly lace and nylon sheer feIl full over the hand. The skirt was appliqued with flowered motifs, with chantilly lace bordering a nylon sheer flounce, extending into a chapel train. She wore a, Juliette cap of chantilly lace with seed pearîs and rhinestones which held a cathedyal length veil of tool illusion, and carried a bouquet of white daisies, yellow sweet- heart roses and baby's breath.
