CANADA In the billowing heights of, the Rockies, Where eternal waters flow, 1 saw a majestic bald eagle Free, as the wind does blow. I And from that mountain Grandeur I looked on down below Onto a sun drenched prairie Wbere golden wheat crops grow. StilI father yet were lakes I and towns Peeking througb the trees, Inviting you to their hiding place I felt the cool, dlean breeze. The cities there, bold as brass And boasting of their size, Were smelly, big and beautiful The smog gets in your eyes. Across the rolling hilîs I went Towards the sunny sea, I heard the screaming gulîs 1above It was like peace to me. That Land whicb I have toured through Is free, as animais roam. Tbis spaciousness is Canada And is my native home. by Carolyn Mostemt (Age 14)r Richard Mostert also de- serves special praise as we noted in the Recreational Swimming Report that he bas sucesfulycompleted two classes this past summer.
