Joe Kennett, of the town's recreation departmnent, said Monday that even though it is past the official deadline for registration, it is still possible for players to sign up. Practices for the town leagues will begin Saturday, October 23- one week behind last year. Mr. Kennett told a meeting of the community services committee îast Monday that the poorest showing in the larn Tenders»É> Oipen ing Tenders submitted to the town to do repairs.on the Bowmanville arena are scheduled to be opened on Oct. 8th, Mayor Garnet Rickard announced at a public meeting on arenas last week. While the repairs are under way for four to six weeks, use of the building will continue under monitoring for snow conditions by arena manager Roy Neads.
