Many people who attended this Fall's product- ion told me that they found it to be a very enjoyable evening of theatre. Having worked with this group, I now know just how much effort went into this performance. As the tirne draws dloser, the tension mounts. Will the audience like the play? Will it laugh in the right places? Will the actors remember their lines?, Will the set look realistic and the props works well? 1 know the cast was'anxious to read a review of its efforts and the audience always likes to measure its reaction to that of the reviewer. I certainly hope to see such a review in the Sta tesman. 1There is no doubt that a town the size of Bowmanville can enthusiastically support a local little theatre group. I was very impressed with the help given by some of the local merchants. For instance, much of the furniture'used on stage was on loan fromn Kramp's Furnipnre. The furni- ture was not only loaned, but delivered and picked up by the store. Live theatre offers the audience a thrill it can neyer receive by watching T.V. Experienced theatre-goers as well as those who have neyer seen a play will not regret the time or money spent on an evening with the Bowmanville Drama Workshop. Thank you Elaine Barber Editor's- note: Sorry to advise that we ddn't have anybody available to do a review of the plays. We did contact one of the members of this hard-working group to see if they could arrange for a report, but to date have flot received one here. We've found in the past that it is difficult for regular reporters ta handle a critique ta the satisfaction of those involved. 46 Simpson Ave., Bowmanville. Ontario, November 10, 1976 Dear John: Many thanks for publishing the excellent news article that reporter Liz Armstrong wrote cancerning aur upcoming Santa Claus Parade and the committee behind it. With this kind of cammunity support, our job is certainly made easier. We hope that the display an November 20 will prove worthy'of your support. Thank you Ross Fitchett, Public Relations, Santa Claus Parade Committee. COU NTRY LIVING Two miles north of Bowmanvilie 4 bed- room, stone and brick home on scenic 9 acres. many extras.
