The Centre intends to produce a bookiet on the miii as part of its plans to restore the building., In case you wer e the iucky recipient of a micro-wave oven for Christmas here is a recipe for you to try. Micro- wave Scrambied Eggs, one serving. 1 to- 2 teaspoons butter, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons water, dash of sait and pepper. Place butter in two- cup glass measuring cup, bowi, or lO-ounce custard cup. Mlicrowave on "cook" or "high" 30 seconds, or until melted. In same cup, combine eggs, water, and seasonings; beat iightiy with, a fork to combine yolks and whites. Microwave on "cook" or "high" 45 seconds. Eggs should be starting to puff up and set around the outside. Stir cooked egg toward centre. Microwave 45 seconds. Stir to mix cooked and uncooked egg. Cover with plastic wrap or foul and let stand 1 to 2 minutes, until cooked to the desired degree. Turn out onto warm plate and serve. A factor affecting cooking time is the temperature of eggs and water at start of cooking. Mrs. Joe Leavens read the Scrip- ture, foilowed by a Christmas Carol and Mrs. Wiicox gave the Devotional lighting three candles at different intervals during the Scripture. The January meeting will be held January il at the home of Mrs. Fred Janssens with Mrs. Janssens and Mrs. C. Penwar- den as program convenors. Gifts were exchanged and the meeting closed in the usual manner and a lovely lunch was served by the convenors. OBITUARY ALFRED . MortRIiS WOOTTON Alfred Morris Wootton, 75, a former president of Whitby junior hockey teams and a practising lawyer in Whitby since 1946, died at his home in Dunedin, Fia., Thursday. He had been iii for four days before his death. Mr. Wootton was aiso a member of the Whitby Rotary Club, Whitby Curling Club, a past-president of theOntario County Law Association and an honorary member of the Ajax Kinsmen Club. He was born in Owen Sound, attended Victoria College of the University of Toronto, wbere he received his Bache- lor of Arts degree. He also, attended McGill University, Queen's University, and Os- goode Hall. Mr. Wootton also received a Bachelor of Divinity degree and was an active United Church minister for 10 years in the Tyrone area before the Second World War. He enlist- ed in the army and served as a lieutenant with the Midland Regiment. He is survived by his wife (the former Grace Lillian Simmons), two sons John Wallace of, Whitby, Frank Morrison of Renfrew, two sisters, Mrs. Helen Robbins of Peterborough, Mrs. Jean Ma- haffy of Lake Baptiste, and six grandchildren. He rested at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel where service was held on Tuesday.
